The Brick’s Random Act of Kindness Contest

1. GENERAL

This Contest shall be conducted by The Brick Warehouse LP (“The Brick”) for customers to enter. A customer is referred to as “You and “Your”.

“Contest Period”: The Contest will run from 9:00 AM MST on February 13, 2023 until 11:59:59 PM MST on February 17, 2023

No purchase is necessary in order to participate in this Contest

Instagram: To enter, You must follow “@brickwarehouse” on Instagram, “like” the post, tag a friend and tell us why they deserve this prize. If chosen, both You (“Nominator”) AND the person you nominated (“Nominee”) will win a prize!

You may enter multiple times by tagging different friends in separate comments at any time during the Contest Period.

NOTE: An Eligible Entry must be made by You using Your Instagram account and Your tagged friend. Entries made by any other individual or entity will be declared invalid. The use of any device to automate the entry process is prohibited. Any attempt to manipulate the Contest will result in You being disqualified.

Draw Date: February 21st, 2023 at 11:00 AM MST

2. ELIGIBILITY

The Contest is open to all residents of Canada (excluding Quebec) who have reached the age of majority in the Province/Territory in which they reside, on or before Draw Date except employees, representatives, agents, and affiliates of The Brick and Leon's Furniture Ltd, and all people employed as contractors or sub-contractors of The Brick, and their immediate family members living in the same household.

You agree to abide by the Rules as set out herein, subject to all federal, provincial, and municipal laws. It is a condition of eligibility that the winner authorizes The Brick to announce and publish his/her name, address and photograph, without remuneration or consideration, in any forthcoming publicity.

3. PRIZES ODDS

The chances of winning a Prize will depend on the number of Entries received in accordance with these Official Rules; odds decrease as the number of Entries increase.

4. PRIZES – TWO WINNERS

There are two (2) grand prizes to be won. The Grand Prize Winners will each receive a $1000 Brick Gift Card* (total prize value is $2,000)

The Brick’s Satisfaction Guarantee, Price Guarantee and Price Protection policies as published from time to time shall not be applicable to any merchandise purchased with this prize. The Brick’s liability for defective merchandise shall be limited to repairing defective or, where appropriate, to exchanging such defective goods within the manufacturer’s warranty period and in accordance with such warranties. In no case shall The Brick refund or otherwise compensate the winner beyond repairing or exchanging defective goods.

The Prize shall be accepted as awarded and is not convertible to cash.

5. DRAW PROCEDURES

On February 21st 2023, at 11:00 am MST, a representative from The Brick’s Corporate Office in Edmonton, Alberta will initiate a random, computer generated draw to select and record three (3) Entries from all Eligible Entries to obtain two (2) eligible winners; The additional Entry drawn is a backup Entry in the event either of the initial Eligible Winners are non-responsive after contact, fail to comply with the Contest Rules, or are unable to complete the skill testing question (“Alternate Winner”).

A representative from corporate office will use his/her reasonable efforts to contact each Eligible Winner by Instagram direct messaging after the Draw Date. If either Eligible Winner cannot be reached by the method above or has not contacted The Brick within three (3) days of The Brick leaving messages to do so (“Contact Date”), then that person will be disqualified, and The Brick shall proceed to contact the Alternate Winner.

6. DECLARING THE PRIZE WINNER

Be over the age of majority in the province in which they reside;

Within three (3) business days following the Contact Date, correctly answer a time-limited, arithmetical skill-testing question without the assistance of any person or mechanical/recording device(s). The skill-testing process shall be administered at a pre-arranged time and place;

Execute a declaration and release form confirming compliance with the Contest Rules and acceptance of the Prize; and

Should any Eligible Winner fail to answer the skill-testing question correctly or is unable to attend at the time and place designated by The Brick for the administration of same, that person will be disqualified and The Brick shall proceed to contact the next Alternate Winner, and so on until one person has been contacted and deemed eligible according to the Contest Rules.

An Eligible Winner whose name has been selected on the Draw Date must execute a declaration and release form confirming compliance with the Official Contest Rules and acceptance of the Prize.

7. ADDITIONAL TERMS

By participating, You agree that: a) these Official Contest Rules and The Brick’s records of the draw or any other aspect of this contest shall be final and conclusive in all respects; and b) release, discharge, indemnify and hold harmless The Brick and its trustees, directors, officers, and employees from any liability, claims, damages, demands, actions, or causes of action whatsoever which they, their heirs, successors, assigns, executors, or administrators may now or hereafter have directly or indirectly against them or any of them in respect of or relating to the Contest and/or the acceptance or use, misuse, or possession of any prize.

8. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

The Brick shall not be responsible for print or typographical errors in any Contest-related materials. The Brick reserves the right to amend or vary the Official Contest Rules, including the imposition or addition of new rules which are deemed by The Brick in its sole discretion necessary for business efficacy.

9. PRIVACY POLICY

The Brick will use the contact information provided in contest Entries for administration of this Contest and/or to ascertain your needs and market to You. We may communicate with You for any of these purposes by telephone, text messaging, or other electronic means, and automatic dialing-announcing device, at the numbers You have provided us, or by internet, mail, email and other methods. By entering this Contest, You acknowledge and agree to give permission to The Brick to collect, use and disclose Your personal information in accordance with The Brick’s privacy policy (“Privacy Policy”). The Brick is committed to protecting the privacy of the personal information You have provided herein.
